I really shouldn’t be up this early on a Sunday morning, but I had to drive Sam to work for 7am at CHOC this morning. Apparently, they were short on coaches, and need her there two hours earlier. Yeeech. I thought I had a sleep in this morning, after driving home from Toronto late last night, and staying up to watch one of my Sons of Anarchy episodes. Ahh well, I don’t feel too tired. Good thing, I’m eating well these days. Yesterday in Toronto at the GoodLife Ontario tournament was a lot of fun. It was the first time, that I ever went to a tournament outside of London, and I didn’t even play. It was fun cheering everyone on though. Team London did pretty well, finishing 4th out of eight teams. Rob Cunningham won consolation in the “B” division, and Lisa won “B” in the ladies draw. Laura made it to the finals for the ladies “C” draw, and was hoping to win, but didn’t. It was a pretty good match all around. Got to hang out in Toronto a little bit. The courts there weren’t all that great. Of the six courts, there was only one regulation sized squash court. Four of the other courts were converted Racquetball courts, and one was a North American hardball court. It wasn’t the best setup, but for viewing and everything, but it was still a lot of fun. I’ve come to appreciate our own courts setup here in London, with real regulation courts, and a nice viewing area for everyone. I’d go back to Toronto again though for this tournament. I’ll have to see how the scheduling is. So, today, I really should go and do some shit on the boat. At least, get the tarp off, and get things ready for cleaning and what have you. It’s actually a bit cold this morning, and now, I’m a bit tired. I think I was up till around 12:30 last night, so a 6:30 wake up call wasn’t really appreciated. I was up at 6am yesterday to go to Toronto for 7. I wasn’t tired though. This healthy eating thing really pays off some times. It was nice seeing Lisa again yesterday. She was certainly in good spirits. But then again, she always is when she wins. Definitely in a happier place, then when I last saw her playing league. That wasn’t a good year for her. Ah well, people change. So, what do I do today? I’m probably too tired to go to the boat. I still have to pick up Sam at 10. I’ll have to check the weather, and see if I’m a bit more wide awake and motivated later. Jennifer, is moving back home this Tuesday. That will be nice. Having her around again. I’m not sure everyone feels that way here, but I certainly do. I’ve missed not having her around. Her happy demeanor rubs off on me, which makes me happier. Unlike some other people around here. Maybe between her and I, we can get some better eating habits to rub off on the rest of the family. Not likely, but it’s not a bad idea. Wow, this journal is a bit of a struggle this morning, to get out there. I’m definitely not going to set any records with writing this morning. Still about 200 more words to go here. I haven’t talked about writing this morning, but don’t really feel like doing that today. Could use a bit of a break from it. That being said, I really should prep my first chapter, and put it out there for David and Mark. It would be pretty cool to get some feedback on it from a couple of English majors. I will be getting some feedback from the Critique Circle group as well. It would be smart to get another critique with the second chapter as well. I should see if I can submit that chapter this week. I will have to do a few critiques this week to make that happen though. We’ll see. I do have to help Jennifer move this coming Tuesday morning as well. So, what do I have to write to get me through the next fifty words in this frigging journal. I’m really just a little bit too tired to be writing this thing. I should probably have a bit of a nap, before I go and pick up Sam, but that probably won’t happen. Only three more words to go . . . DONE!
