Morning Pages Entry – December 25, 2013

Wow, this is kinda close, but I think I’m gonna make it anyway. Today is Christmas, and I am a little drunk . . . ok, maybe more then a little bit drunk, but I’m going to get my journal in anyway, and not ruin my streak. If Christmas day doesn’t give me something to journal about, I don’t know what day will. A number of things went on today. I did almost make it down here first thing this morning to write this, but I got a bit distracted, and before I knew it, I was having Christmas breakfast, and then we were opening presents, and then I had to do a few things to get ready for the inlaws to come over, and then I had to have a shower, and then, and then, and then. We had some fun with the kids and everyone. The Allens were over, with the exception of Diane. Bob and the kids were here, which was ok, because it gives me another guy to talk to, and it was kind fun. We had a few too many drinks, and Bob could drink lots anyway, since Jacob was driving. So that was kinda cool. Apparently, Bob has lost 14 pounds lately, following a similiar sort of eating routine that I have. Basically, no grains, eggs for breakfast, bacon for breakfast, lots of veggies, and meats. That’s the way to go. If only I could get the rest of the family to believe me, we would all be a much healthier bunch. I’ve been really good over the holidays. I haven’t touched any sweet things like candies, chocolates, or cookies . . . thank goodness. The drinking has definitely been a bit more than usual, but I knew that was going to happen, and I was ok with that. The funny thing, is that, usually it’s the drinking that leads to the other bad eating things. But, that hasn’t happened today, or yesterday, and if I have anything to say about it, it won’t happen tomorrow either. Yaaaa Me! No junk food in this body of mine for 31 days now, and I totally intend to extent that well past 60 days going forward. Look out all you squash punks, your about to have your asses handed to you. Sure, my weight may not be perfect, but perhaps I’ll get out tomorrow, and do a few weights to help things along. The back is still a bit sore after trouncing Mark the other day, but I can live with that. The ankle is pretty good, and I did manage a pretty good weights workout yesterday, inspite of the back being a little questionable. If I get out tomorrow, then it’s only one day (today . . . Christmas), that I haven’t worked out, and a day off is always a good thing. No point in over training. I obviously didn’t get any writing done today, but it’s always in the back of mind, and I will turn into a writing machine as well. As well, no Tony Robbins today either, and that’s a bit of a bummer, but it’s tough to get everything done over the holidays. Journaling, and changing my mind set with Tony. I am listening to the sublilminals while I’m writing this, buy I still suspect I’m still going to take a bit longer then usual. Everyone had a fun game of that trains game after dinner. I managed not to play, but instead played bartender, and DJ during the festivities. Still having fun with the new stereo, and mixing drinks for everyone. Jennifer’s new drink of that cinnamon liqour mixed with the Sommersbys apple cider was pretty popular. Even Karen tried a small glass. It really does taste like apple pie with a bit of cinammon. And it doesn’t really have that much alcohol in it. Even Samantha had some, much to her mothers chargrin. Ah well, that’s what the holidays are all about. It was a pretty cool Christmas all in all. I got a new poster collage of a bunch of sailboat pictures I had taken from Bayfield, much like the sunset pictures I had done last year. Karen got it for my me last Christmas (the sunset ones), and this year, it was all the sail boat pictures. Pretty cool, and simple for her to do apparently. I’ll have to find a new place to put it up in the office. Not sure exactly, but I’m sure I can find some place appropriate.
