Well, today already feels like a hard day, and I haven’t done much of anything yet. Played a bit of a new PSN game, but that was about it. It’s the game “Brothers”. Seems like kind of a cool game . . . very nice looking. Yesterday, I played squash house league, and I must admit, by game is not going anywhere near where I wanted it to. This ankle injury is still nagging at me, and could mean a severe roadblock in my accension through the ranks going forward. The trick I think, is to give it time to rest. Keep doing the weights, keep eating right, and keep doing your pushups. I think I may have gained back a pound or so of weight. I need some discipline going forward to stop screwing things up here. Time to get back on track. Time for another 30 days of no sweets, no junk food, and little or no booze. I had a glass of wine last night, and it’s definitely affecting me a bit this morning. I should have had a glass of water before going to bed last night. I would have felt better this morning. Well, lets get these 750 words done. I did manage to get a good number of words done yesterday. 2195 to be exact, which gets me more on my track for 10K words this week. Still need to make up a bit more from Mondays sub 2000 count. Should be able to do that today. Around 2200 will definitely get me on track again. I think the trick for getting my word count up to 5000 per day, is to plot things out a little bit more. I bet, if I spent a bit of time each morning doing some plotting, then I’d get more done for sure in terms of writing during the day. I’m up to the point now, where our heroes are about to approach the Fort Knox complex, and I’m not sure what they’re going to find. I need to do a bit more research on Fort Knox, but I did find a history channel about the secrets of fort knox. It’s about 90 minutes long, but could be an interest source of information to get me started. The one thing I understand at this point, is there is virtually no public information accessable about Fort Knox, so that means, I can be a little creative with what goes on there. But, there is plenty of room for conflict and suspense I think. There’s not only the bullion depository, but also a regluar Fort Knox army base nearby, which is the main US tank training grounds for the us military. That shoud be interesting. Even the blueprints for the depository are classified though, so nobody really knows what the inside of fort knox really looks like, except the people that work there. Visitors have only been allowed once since it was build in 1936, and that required a presidential order. It is also home to more than just gold. The Magna Carter or at least some copies of it were kept there, and different countries royal jewels have been stored there in the past, like during world war 2. So, the question I obviously have to ask, is what good would zombies do in going up again the fort knox defenses. Would they have any effect at all. We know, what the zombies did to the fences on the prison in the walking dead, which seemed like a fairly secure place. Fort Knox would obviously be much harder for them to get into. It’s obviously more secure physically to start with, and it has a proper police and military force guarding it. The thing zombies have in their favour, is that they never relent. They keep pressing. If a bunch die, then even more show up to take their place. The question is, can that constant pounding over time take it’s toll even on a place like Fort Knox. And, exactly how long would it take. Supposedly, the zombie wars have been going on for around 15 years at this point. So would that be enough time. Basically, their laying seighe to the fort. Is it possible for them to starve out the inhabitants? Apparently, there is an escape tunnel built into the actual vault itself, but likely only big enough for one person to get out of. Could they get out, and then get back in again, if the fort needed supplies to keep them going? Not sure. We’ll have to be a bit creative with this one, and do a bit more research on what we know is already there.
