Morning Pages Entry – December 26, 2013

So, here we are the day after Christmas, boxing day to be exact I suppose, and things are pretty mellow around here at the moment. Jennifer and Grandma Theresa are here for the day, but Jennifer is heading off for skiing with some friends around supper time. She’s taking our car, and driving up to horseshoe valley for a few days, but will be back before news year. The girls are upstairs cooking stew, and it’s a pretty relaxed day. Had a lot of fun last night with the cousins and Uncle Bob. He had more then a few drinks, and was feeling pretty good. He was happy to have Jacob as a designated driver for sure. I also had more then a few drinks, and haven’t gone back to read my journal from yesterday, that I wrote after drinking, but I’m sure it would be pretty entertaining. It seemed, like it took me forever to write it, and there are probably a lot of typos, but that’s just the way things go. Trying to write this, without being interrupted, is a little bit of a challenge with people wandering around, as I usually like to do these with no one around, but I just chased Jennifer out of the room, as I’m trying to get this done without interruption. I haven’t planned a workout yet today, as we’re being a bit lazy. I did challenge Eric to a ladder match though, and we’ll see when I can get that scheduled in, as it’s time for me to start moving up the ladder. All that fitness working out can’t go for naught. I’m continuing to be extremely good through the holidays. No treats, sweets or junk food so far, and here we are on boxing day. That’s a new record for me. I think, the trick now, is to just get back out to the gym and do some weights, or play some squash will pretty much cement the deal in terms of winning the fitness battle this year. Although, I definitely drank a bit too much yesterday, I’m hoping that won’t be a factor on this path. It may have added a bit, but I’ll be sure to tear that down over the next few days, and keep getting fitter and stronger. Squash is going to be interesting going forward. I haven’t done any Tony Robbins today either, and I’m not too sure, when I will get back to that, but it’s definitely something that I plan to finish, one way or the other. It’s been having a positive effect on me. Perhaps, starting it before the Christmas holidays wasn’t a totally good idea, but either way, I’ll get through it. I have been still playing the subliminals while doing this writing, and that’s kind of interesting. Not sure if they really do anything or not, but the music is pretty nice, so I’ll keep using them. I didn’t read my 5 questions from tony’s last course yesterday, but I’ll be sure to read them after I’m finished with this journal, as I think they’re a really good idea. I especially like the one I made up about making others happy. That’s going to have positive effects for those around me, and myself as well. The more you give, the more you receive sort of thing. Definitely have to read those questions every day. Could be fun to expand on them, and come up with a bunch more questions as well. Just get’s you thinking in the right frame of mind. The next few days will definitely be a bit disruptive with my routine, but that’s ok, we’ll get through them and start doing things normally in not to much longer. These interruptions while I’m writing are a bit annoying though. I’m going to have to make sure I do this early or much later in the day when people are sleeping so they don’t bother me. Jennifer was just peaking at me from around the corner to the laundry room, to see what I was up to. [personal stuff edited out]. Ah well. Sometimes, I just can’t seem to find things to write about these days, but I do continue like with this sentence to keep on writing stuff, until I get to where I want to be. Oh yea, I posted some cool Christmas pics on FaceBook last night of the festivieies, that was sort of cool.
