Ooops, looks like the team lost a close match last night to another GoodLife team. Kyles team beat us 3-2, but it came down to the 5th game in the 5th match that went to 13-11. David lost to Kyle. Pretty good match overall. I lost to Mark Williams. That boy is just too tricky for me. I’m sure, if I was 10 pounds lighter, it would have been a different story. One of these years, I will beat that guy. Anyways, yesterday was a pretty good writing day. I got over 3000 words done, which is my best day all week so far. The morning journal I wrote yesterday was a big part of it. It got me going and writing. If your going to be a fucking writer, then fucking write. That’s really what it’s all about. It’s my motto for the next little while. Let’s see me crank out another 3000 words today. That’s what I really need to do. No more screwing around. I’m up to 54000 words in my current novel, so really, that’s over 200 pages which should be enough to publish, without anyone complaining about it being too short. It’s going to be in need of a major re-edit though. It’s pretty rough. Hopefully, I won’t drag that out for too long though. It would be great to get it published this month, then get working on the next in the series. The market for dystopian/zombie stuff is pretty good, so I’m sure if I can get it pretty polished, that it will sell fairly well. Especially, if I can get another 5 or so books in the series. I think it may morph into a bit of a sci-fi series as things go on, but that’s pretty cool to. If you could appeal to all those market groups, then it can’t help but be more successful it seems. The more reader markets it crosses into, the more successful it should be. I’m pretty close to the ending at this point for the first novel. I just need to get my heroes into the Fort (Knox), and have a few more conflicts and do a bit of resolution. I need to look at the overall structure a bit more. I’m sure it’s a bit of a jumbled mess. I’m feeling quite hungry this morning. I did skip my salad yesterday, and loaded up on just carbs (fruits only), before squash league. I was trying to incorprate some of the stuff I read from the “Paleo Diet For Athletes” book, that does advocate more carbs, but only before, during and after working out, or performing (playing squash). I did feel pretty good yesterday. Wasn’t tired. Should have at least gone to 5 games, instead of 4 though. I was up early in that 4th game, and should have held on to finish it. Not sure how I would have done in the 5th, but Mark was certainly getting tired. He still would have been tough in the 5th game, but at least we would have gotten another point out of it. We did actually win just as many games as the other team did last night 9-9, they just won the more important game. That 5th one in the final. Ah well. We should still have another big lead going into next week, which should be a pretty easy match. We have the Y team to go up against. David will have to play that Ken guy. The guy, I was supposed to play, after I took over the number one spot on the team. Ah well, time to adjust the goals a bit more. I do seem to be stuck at 175ish pounds these days. Gotta get that going back down again. And of course put on some more muscle at the same time. It would be pretty cool to play that Ken guy from the Y. He did lose a game last night to Kieth. But, he’s been losing a few game over the last few weeks. We’ll see, how my match against goes against Mark and David this week. Should be interesting. Need to come out strong, and beat Mark first of all. That’s my best shot at getting up in the rankings. Will finally be at the number 2 spot for the last 2 weeks, and the playoffs. Maybe number 1. Mark Darling is still a bit concerned about his game, but he has no reason to be. It’s just everyone around him has been improving faster.
